MY BOOKS TO YOU Chapter 2
CHAPTER 2
It's been weeks since he startled
me doing a math question.
I have seen him a couple of times
flipping through some Andaleeb Wajid's books.
I have read many books by her, and
I am a fan. It lies in the way she intertwines morals into romance stories that
are a heartbeat worthy.
I always had one of her books with
me, and it is the best way to pass the time.
Now that I know that I have an
excuse to talk to him, my mind keeps overthinking about facts that might not
even happen.
Today, out of all days of the
month, is a Friday, so there would definitely be a book club at 6 pm.
I know I am always early to these
types of events, as it brings me a lot of joy.
This time, I had prepared to talk.
About the book - MIRROR MIRROR by Andaleeb Wajid.
It was my first ever Andaleeb Wajid
book that I have ever read.
This book made me learn that people
really get struck by your painful words, and it could sometimes risk their
life, and also can make them quit what they love.
In the next 10 minutes, the book
club will be starting, and I am nervous but also confident because I know that I
have never failed in anything I love the most.
Reading and Books are part of what
I love the most.
I saw that today there were 5 more
bookaholics about to talk about their favourite books.
I get into the Hall. It is neatly
arranged as if there was a coronation that was going to be held. It was
decorated with a lot of Pinterest fan art of different genres of books.
As I scrutinized all the pictures,
my eyes caught up on one picture. The book I was going to review had a very
small number of followers, which means there is and according to my statistics,
a two percent chance that there would be a fan art of Raghu and Ananya.
Here, there was a beautiful sketch
of Raghu and Ananya making brownies together.
My heart was strumming with a lot
of happy beats... If I were at home, I would be hopping like a kindergartener
after school.
It gave pure Joy .... also made me
really confident that I sent my nervousness on a trip to Florida.
Then, in a few minutes, I was on
the stage. I spoke about this book and how it changed my mindset about how
different people think. Also, romance is just a beautiful distraction filled
with magic for anyone to get out of the hole they dig for
themselves.
After my speech, I went and sat in
my place, then listened to everyone else. About five books were in my Amazon
cart: two were romance, one was mystery, and the other two were fantasy.
I was really into the beautiful
decoration and all, I felt like I was in a fairytale with a sweet smell of
cherry blossoms. That's when my eyes landed on that very dark black shade I was
extremely fond of for several weeks.
He was wearing a button-down
midnight blue shirt with black jeans. His hair was tousled like Raghu's from my
favourite book. He had a very small smile that made his dimples show up. He
was, I guess, with a friend, and she looked fantastic. Her hair was neatly
placed in a half-up up half-down, unlike my open hair.
Then, something happened ... as if
... as if about a thousand lightning bolts had struck me. My heart was beating,
and I was frozen there, sweating. My hands were sweaty, and I was really
conscious of my appearance.
Because he saw me and was walking
towards me with a beautiful smile .... like the smile that would make me want
to stop all the wars.
In just a few moments, he is in
front of me.
He tilted his head slightly and
waved, saying, "Hi, I am Ishaan".
