MY BOOKS TO YOU Chapter 4

 Chapter 4

I reached home early. Started preparing Dinner, and I suddenly zoned out.

My mind kept rewinding like an old radio tape. Those beautiful black eyes caught me off guard, but made my day at the end.

I finished making dinner and sat down to eat. That's when my phone pinged.

I went to pick up my phone from the counter, and I was thrown back.

It was a message from HIM.

BOOK GUY: Hi... Did you eat your dinner? Are you free to talk??

I type quickly because I don't want him to go offline.

ME: I was just sitting down to eat dinner when you messaged. Just give ten minutes. I will be right back.

BOOK GUY: OK..

I quickly eat dinner. I don't want to keep him waiting.

As soon as I am done gobbling food, I text him.

ME: Done... You wanted to talk. About What?

Instant reply. It felt like he had typed this message and was waiting for me just to message when I am done.

BOOK GUY: Have you read The Lovely and the Lost by Jennifer Lynn Barnes?

I am shocked that he remembers the book name and the author. I have seen many people just reading the books and not being able to remember the authors. Remembering authors give tribute to all the hard work they put into writing that book.

ME: Yes !! I did.

BOOK GUY: Is it good? Do you have a copy? If you don't, I'll get a copy.

Of course, I have a copy. It is such a thrilling and beautiful book. It kept me engaged every time I read it.

ME: Yes, I have a copy. Do you want me to get it tomorrow? I am telling you that the book is a piece of art.

BOOK GUY: You can get it whenever you come to the library. No hurry.

ME: I have a doubt. You can find it in the library, also, right?

His reply sent a thousand nerve impulses into my body.

BOOK GUY: Just wanted to read your copy. Bye. Good night.
